Nvidia hosted its annual conference this week, attracting tech junkies from around the globe to see the latest advancements in AI, quantum computing, robotics, and beyond. And the event, while without a dress code, wasn’t lacking style.

The traditional black T-shirt paired with jeans or slacks remains a staple outfit in the tech world, with many attendees wearing some variation of the stereotypical fit.

But just as popular was the modest half-zip and quarter-zip sweatshirt, as seen on Infleqtion CEO Matthew Kinsella.

Others, like Mike Celetti, opted for a classic blazer — but made it their own with stylish sneakers.

In fact, high-end sneakers were a common sight at GTC. Many sported Hokas, but Adidas and Nikes were also common.

“The sneaker competition at tech conferences is intense,” attendee Todd Didier said.

Others were sporting leather jackets, perhaps inspired by CEO Jensen Huang’s signature look.

Some attendees were set on business attire but with brighter colors than you’d see at a typical law firm or similar setting.

And many wore classic work outfits with a Nvidia-green twist.

Female attendees alternated between slacks, dresses, and skirts — mostly tea length, as Samantha Cutslinger showed off with a matching purse.

It was clear that some attendees were focused on form as much as function.

Bold patterns were common — many in black and white.

Puffer jackets were ubiquitous, including North Face, Under Armor, and Patagonia brands.

But it was clear many attendees took their style seriously, using GTC as their own runway.

“I sincerely believe I am the most fashion-conscious machine learning scientist on the planet,” BalaKrishna Kolluru told BI. “I don’t know why — for whatever reason, I have a spring collection, summer collection, autumn collection.”
