Nicole Kidman, 58, says she enjoys a good sweat session.

“I love doing hot yoga right now, so I feel really good about an hour after that. My daughters and I, we do it together, and we call it the glow up,” Kidman told People in an interview published on Thursday. “We look red-faced and ragged when we come out, but about an hour later, wow.”

The “Babygirl” actor has two teenage daughters with her husband, musician Keith Urban. She also shares two adult children, whom she adopted with her ex, Tom Cruise.

Apart from practicing yoga, Kidman told People about her other self-care habits.

“I’ll ask for a hug. I meditate, I pray. I have an enormous support system of friends. And I’ve done so much research on the human mind because of my dad being a psychologist, so I’m a big believer in breath work,” Kidman said.

She added that these are “tiny tools that you can have in your toolkit.”

Something as simple as smiling, even when she doesn’t feel like it, can also do wonders for her mood since “it’s almost like you trick yourself into a state of being,” Kidman said.

A representative for Kidman did not immediately respond to a request for comment sent by BI outside regular hours.

Hot yoga refers to yoga styles done in rooms with high temperatures and humidity. It can help improve flexibility and strength and reduce stress.

What makes hot yoga appealing is the same thing that draws people to saunas and hot tubs, John Porcari, a professor of exercise and sport science at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, told Business Insider for a 2021 story.

Kidman is one of the many celebrities who have opened up about how they care for their body and mind.

In May, Keke Palmer told BI that she practices Pilates every morning.

“It’s the moment of my day that I get to myself, even if I’m in a class with other people. It’s just me, feeling it, existing in the world, and doing something for myself. It’s really meditative,” she said.

Earlier this week, WNBA star Caitlin Clark said she rewatches old Disney movies to unwind.

“The other day I watched ‘The Parent Trap,’ which literally never gets old, even though I know every single word in it,” Clark said.
