Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.49% to hit a new all time high, while the index climbed 0.73%, and the index added 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the were Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:), which rose 3.02% or 0.53 points to trade at 18.09 at the close. Meanwhile, Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:) added 2.86% or 1.11 points to end at 39.88 and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR:) was up 2.80% or 2.16 points to 79.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:), which fell 3.43% or 1.78 points to trade at 50.10 at the close. Zalando SE (ETR:) declined 1.72% or 0.55 points to end at 31.48 and MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 0.93% or 3.10 points to 331.90.
The top performers on the MDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 10.38% to 108.50, Hypoport AG (ETR:) which was up 7.36% to settle at 199.80 and Lanxess AG (ETR:) which gained 5.10% to close at 25.78.
The worst performers were Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was down 2.52% to 40.69 in late trade, Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which lost 2.39% to settle at 65.40 and Hella KGaA Hueck & Co (ETR:) which was down 2.16% to 86.10 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 10.38% to 108.50, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was up 2.39% to settle at 12.42 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.37% to close at 237.50.
The worst performers were SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:) which was down 3.85% to 47.40 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which lost 1.31% to settle at 13.95 and Jenoptik AG (ETR:) which was down 0.89% to 22.16 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 335 to 279 and 33 ended unchanged.
Shares in Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to 5-year highs; rising 3.02% or 0.53 to 18.09. Shares in Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to 3-years highs; rising 10.38% or 10.20 to 108.50. Shares in Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.39% or 1.60 to 65.40. Shares in Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to 3-years highs; up 10.38% or 10.20 to 108.50.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 2.97% to 14.54.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.87% or 23.96 to $2,724.74 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.97% or 0.75 to hit $76.64 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.77% or 0.62 to trade at $80.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.03% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.96% at 108.15.
