A Delta flight flipped upside down while landing at Toronto’s main airport

Emergency crews responded to an incident involving a Delta Air Lines flight at Toronto Pearson Airport on Monday afternoon, the airport said.

All passengers and crew were “accounted for,” the airport said. A Peel Regional Police spokesperson said there were “a few” injuries and no known fatalities. Greater Toronto Airports Authority will lead the investigation, they said.

Photos on X appeared to show the plane upside down and at least one wing missing.

The Bombardier CRJ900, which was flying from Minneapolis as Flight 4819, was operated by Delta’s wholly-owned regional subsidiary, Endeavor Air.

Delta told Business Insider it is “working to confirm any details” of the incident in Toronto and will post updates on its website.

Flights to the airport were halted due to the emergency, and there are no updates yet on when they may resume. The airport remains closed.
