Move over Alexander Wang — it’s Alexandr Wang (with only one “e”) whose fashion choices are generating buzz online.
The Meta exec, fresh off the runaway popularity of the Muse AI agent, is the guy Mark Zuckerberg effectively spent $15 billion to hire last year.
And he dressed for the occasion — Meta’s Connect 2026 conference on Wednesday — in a camo T-shirt with a 1990s-style print: a deer head on the front, a wooded path and more deer underneath it, and a “Lake Tahoe” label on the sleeve. Wang paired it with camo Crocs and black pants.
Silicon Valley executives have long used clothes to become instantly legible — think Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s rockstar energy in a leather jacket or former Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ sleek black turtlenecks.
Meta has its own form of the tradition. Zuckerberg himself has gone through a whole fashion evolution, wearing lines of premium T-shirts, hoodies, and gold chains. During the Wednesday keynote, he also wore a black T-shirt that read “Building is my love language.”
Wang’s outfit connects with how he’s branded Meta’s AI assistant online: less polished corporate futurism, and far more chaotic online founder energy.
Following the address, several people online immediately turned their attention to Wang’s shirt. Was it quiet luxury? One X user suggested it was an $800 Hermès shirt, though a community note now asserts that “Hermes doesn’t make hunter t-shirts.”
After his outfit was trending on X, he called the luxury-label assumption “slander” — and looked to set the record straight.
The shirt, Wang said, comes from a thrift store in Santa Cruz and cost him $30, his Crocs only cost about $60, and his pair of Calvin Klein underwear was $5.

Another person re-posted the allegations that this was a luxury fit, saying he was “bullish” on the AI officer because it “looks like he’s been hitting the gym.”
Wang responded: “actually if you say i look fit i don’t care how much you lie about how much my clothes cost.”
It was a very Wang response: aggressively online and down to clown. He has spent the past several weeks promoting the Muse agent with a barrage of memes on X, bragging through what he describes as a “tweet cannon.”

We can’t confirm any specifics about his workwear. Wang didn’t respond to our texts asking for clarification on the fit.
Here are our best guesses: it could be a vintage “back to earth” branded 90s T-shirt. We found several examples of that brand on eBay and Poshmark that looked like Wang’s top, priced from $14 to $45. There’s a near-replica long sleeve version on Grailed for $40
And, for those looking to steal the look without finding a vintage equivalent, there are some lookalikes on the graphic T-shirt site The Mountain.
For anyone thinking about dressing as Wang for Halloween, the costume may already be recognizable because we’ve seen it a few times before. He’s worn a deer/camo shirt for his Core Memory interview and for big internal meetings, Business Insider previously reported.
