In a separate story published on October 2, 2025, Haack told People that El Moussa took action so Hall wouldn’t continue appearing on “The Flip Off” after he and Haack separated.

“Tarek told our attorney and told the network for me that Josh would no longer be a part of the show,” she told People. “They said, ‘No problem. That’s fine.’ They just said, ‘We need Christina to have a scene where she tells you, Tarek, that Josh is no longer going to be a part of the show.'”

Haack said that led to the conversation she and El Moussa shared in the series premiere, which she said was filmed around a week after she and Hall separated.

Haack told People filming the conversation “was never really about Josh” for her.

“It was more about me and Tarek and everything that’s happened since then,” she said. She also told People that the conversation actually lasted over an hour, and she, Tarek, and the entire production crew were in tears throughout it.

“Through the years we have obviously had talks, and we’ve apologized to each other, but not on camera and not like that,” she said. “I don’t think he expected me to go there.”
